Cut clean around everything
Decks rarely go into empty rectangles. This one had a shed, borders and established planting to work around — so every board was scribed and cut to fit, on a pressure-treated subframe with proper falls so the rain runs off.
(The "DAD'S SHED" sign was already in place. We know better than to move it.)
